The Path Forward Return to Work program at EMD Serono is a 16-week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to women and men who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. These roles have the potential to become a full-time permanent role.  If you meet these criteria, we welcome you to apply.

There are four returnship opportunities in marketing, product management, and communications available at EMD Serono's Rockland office. All offer you a chance to revamp your skills, update your resume with new experience, and make connections with other women and men transitioning back to the workforce. It also offers support through Path Forward, a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower people who’ve been focused on caregiving transition back to the paid workforce.

Requirements

Requirements vary by returnship role, but include:

Product Manager/Sr. Product Manager

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, particularly in marketing and communications
  • Experience developing marketing programs and materials for healthcare professionals and patients
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Strong project management experience

Global Head of Oncology Communications

  • Experience in a marketing communications position, PR agency within health sciences, or a respected healthcare organization in a related role
  • Experience in oncology communications
  • Digital expertise, particularly design and implementation of social media campaigns

Patient Access and Support Manager

  • Knowledge of reimbursement, copay, and healthcare consulting
  • Call, contact center, or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience creating reports and analyzing data to identify trends
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and ability to collaborate
