The Director, Growth Quality Engineeringwill lead new product development quality for our Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Operating Unit (OU). The area of product responsibility will include electro-mechanical platforms, sterile disposables, biomaterials, combination devices and pharma devices. A firm understanding on ways to prevent product quality issues, ensure compliance to all relevant standard and ability to pragmatically lead a team of quality experts is required.

**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

+ Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the companys design and development of new medical device products or software systems as it pertains to quality and compliance requirements.

+ May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.

+ Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies to ensure reliability and quality standards are met.

+ Provides inputs and quality oversite to development of new production lines including preventive measures that provide high levels of quality assurance.

+ Oversee quality, reliability and compliance requirements for the development of new concepts from initial design to market release.

+ Manages quality inputs to feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.

+ Monitors and ensures compliance of documentation throughout all phases of research and development.

+ Organizes communication with the extended team that includes Supplier Quality, Toxicology, Microbiology and Reliability Engineering / Failure Analysis.

+ Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelors degree

+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

+ Combination Device experience

+ Pharmaceutical background

**Nice to Have: Preferred Requirements:**

+ Masters degree in Engineering

+ Design for Six Sigma, Reliability Engineering, Mistake Proofing of Manufacturing Processes

+ Background working with electro-mechanical products with software

+ ASQ or other relevant certifications
